The fees for a Jagdschein in Hessen are between 30 EUR and 190 EUR depending on the type of licence. A Tagesjagdschein costs around 30 EUR, while a three-year Jagdschein including levy costs around 190 EUR. These fee figures are statewide minimum rates and may vary slightly depending on the district in Hessen. In addition to fees of 30 to 190 EUR, also allow for possible costs for the Jägerprüfung and preparation courses. Processing time and lead time

The initial issue of a Jagdschein in Hessen takes around 4 to 6 Wweeks after you submit your complete application. Renewal of the Jagdschein can take up to 3 Monate due to the reliability checks. The firearms-law reliability checks, including the Verfassungsschutz enquiry, can significantly extend the processing time. Therefore, submit your renewal application to the authority in good time before your current Jagdschein expires. For a first issue, you should submit your application in full at least 6 Wweeks before the desired start date.
