Apply for a no-stopping zone in Stuttgart

In Stuttgart, you apply for a no-stopping zone at the Amt für öffentliche Ordnung – Straßenverkehrsbehörde. Submit the application at least 2 W weeks before the move.

Submit an application

The Amt für öffentliche Ordnung of the City of Stuttgart is responsible for all temporary no-stopping zones. You can submit the application in various ways.

  1. Informally in writing or in person
  2. Online via service-bw.de
  3. Via PDF form

Tip: Due to the high workload, the application should be submitted at least 2 W weeks before the planned moving date.

Required documents

You need the following details for your application:

  • First and last name
  • New and old address
  • Telephone number
  • Purpose of the no-stopping zone (carrying out a move)
  • Date on which the no-stopping zone is to be set up
  • Period during which the no-stopping zone is to apply
  • Area (street and house number), possibly a sketch
  • Length of the no-stopping zone (according to the length of the removal vehicle)

Processing time

Submit the application at least 2 W weeks before the desired date. Due to the high workload, processing may take time.

Important deadlines:

  • Application: at least 2 Weeks before the desired date
  • Put up signs: 72 hours (3 full days) before the ban starts

There is no express processing.

Important note about signs: In Stuttgart, the signs can only be put up by the Bauhof or a qualified specialist company put up. You are not allowed to put up the signs yourself.
