To get an Order for a temporary no-stopping zone (Halteverbot), you submit an application to the Road Traffic Authority (Straßenverkehrsbehörde) in your district. The authority reviews your application and issues the order if needed. You must submit your application at least 2 weeks before your desired date.
Ordering a no-stopping zone costs a minimum fee of € 21 as the base charge. The final price depends on the size of the zone and duration. Additional costs apply for setting up the traffic signs.
Traffic signs must be placed 72 hours before the no-stopping zone begins. You are responsible for setting up and removing the signs yourself. You can rent or buy the signs from specialized companies.
