This page explains how accessible amtsguide.de is and how you report a barrier.

Which rules apply

The German Accessibility Strengthening Act, BFSG for short, has applied since 28 June 2025. It applies to certain products and services of private companies for consumers.

The Accessible Information Technology Ordinance, BITV 2.0 for short, applies to public bodies. AmtsGuide is a private service of Blinktank GmbH and is not subject to BITV 2.0.

We align the pages on amtsguide.de with these official requirements. That includes the BFSG, BITV 2.0, EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.1 for short.

What you find on the pages

The pages use semantic HTML with a clear heading order. Forms have programmatically associated labels and can be used with the keyboard. We keep colour contrast readable for text and controls. The pages adapt to different screen sizes and zoom levels. Informative images receive alternative text and each page has a language mark in the lang attribute. There is a skip link to the navigation and landmark regions.

Known gaps

Some older content pages still lack complete alternative text. Explanations in German Sign Language and in Easy German are not available. The BFSG does not require German Sign Language or Easy German. We keep working to close these known gaps.
