Our Promise
Every piece of information on AmtsGuide should be traceable: freshness, source, jurisdiction scope and confidence state where those data are available. No hidden sources, no outdated information without a label.
Quality Tiers
AmtsGuide distinguishes visible tiers of data quality:
Updated
The data was collected automatically from government websites. Our software reads official sources and structures the information: fees, opening hours, addresses, application requirements. This data is current but has not yet been cross-checked by a human.
You can recognise this tier by the label Updated in the page header.
Source Checked
The data has been checked against the relevant source and carries a traceable freshness state. If a source drifts, the affected claim is flagged for review instead of being treated as permanently valid.
You can recognise this tier by the label Source checked in the page header.
How We Collect Data
AmtsGuide collects information from official sources:
- Websites of city administrations, district offices and federal authorities
- Official fee schedules and administrative regulations
- Government portals and online services
Our software regularly checks these sources for changes. When a data point changes or a source becomes unreachable, the affected page is updated, marked or submitted for renewed review.
What Happens When There Are Errors?
No system is error-free. If you find an error:
- Report it via the contact form or by email to info@amtsguide.de
- Our team checks the report against the source and corrects the data point
- Corrections are prioritised and shown with an updated freshness state
Transparency
AmtsGuide provides general information about administrative processes. We do not replace legal advice and accept no liability for the accuracy of individual details. Binding information can be obtained from the responsible authority.
Every page shows in its header when the data was last updated and which confidence state it carries. This allows you to assess for yourself how current and reliable the information is.
