Types of Hunting Licenses in Bremen

The following types of hunting licenses are issued in Bremen:

  • Annual hunting license -- Valid for one hunting year (1 April to 31 March)
  • 3-year hunting license -- Valid for three hunting years

Special Features in Bremen

  • Hunting dog requirement: Under Art. 3 para. 3 of the Bremen State Hunting Act (Bremisches Landesjagdgesetz), at least one trained hunting dog must be available at all times. During search hunts, driven hunts and stalking, as well as woodcock hunting, the dog must be brought along. A hunting dog must be used for every follow-up search. Violations are administrative offences and subject to penalties.
