The Straßenverkehrsbehörde is part of the Straßen- und Grünflächenamt. The opening hours are:

  • Monday and Tuesday: 9:00–15:00
  • Thursday: 10:00–15:00

What you should include in the application

So that your application is complete and can be processed quickly, you should provide the following information:

Applicant

  • Telephone number
  • Email address

Exact location of the no-stopping zone

  • Street and house number
  • affected section of road: start and end
  • Side of the road
  • Length of the zone in metres or approximate number of parking spaces

Period

  • Start: date and time
  • End: date and time

Purpose

For example:

  • Moving house
  • Delivery
  • Building site
  • Event
  • other necessary purpose

Sketch or site plan

A hand-drawn sketch is often sufficient, as long as the length and orientation are recognisable.

In the case of a Sondernutzung, a scale site plan is mandatory.

Vehicle details

If a specific parking space is to be reserved:

  • Registration number
  • permissible gross weight

Assumption of costs

Include a note that you are willing to cover the official fees.

In the case of Sondernutzung

If the no-stopping zone is part of a building site or another Sondernutzung, the following may also be required:

  • additional justification if the no-stopping zone is to be part of a building site
  • scale site plan
  • if applicable, power of attorney if you are not the developer yourself

The no-stopping zone alone does not automatically permit additional use of the street space.
