The processing time is around four weeks.

What you should include in the application

To ensure your application is complete and can be processed quickly, you should provide the following information:

Applicant

• Name
• Address
• Telephone number
• Email address

Exact location of the no-stopping zone

• Street and house number
• affected section of road: start and end
• Side of the road
• Length of the zone in metres or approximate number of parking spaces

Period

• Start: date and time
• End: date and time

Purpose

For example:

• House move
• Delivery
• Building site
• Event
• other necessary purpose

Sketch or site plan

A hand-drawn sketch is often sufficient, as long as the length and orientation are recognisable.

In the case of special use, a to-scale site plan is mandatory.

Vehicle details

If a specific parking space is to be reserved:

• Registration number
• permissible gross weight

Assumption of costs

Include a note that you are willing to cover the official fees.

In the case of special use

If the no-stopping zone is part of a building site or another special use, the following may also be required:

• additional justification, if the no-stopping zone is intended to be part of a building site
• to-scale site plan
• power of attorney, if applicable, if you are not the developer yourself

For technical special uses such as building sites, containers, cranes or scaffolding, the Straßen- und Grünflächenamt Mitte is also responsible. A separate application may be required for this. The no-stopping zone alone does not automatically permit the additional use of the street space.
