What you should include in the application

To ensure your application is complete and can be processed quickly, you should provide the following information:

Applicant

• Name
• Address
• Telephone number
• Email address

Exact location of the no-stopping zone

• Street and house number
• affected section of road: start and end
• Side of the road
• Length of the zone in metres or approximate number of parking spaces

Period

• Start: date and time
• End: date and time

Purpose

For example:

• Move
• Delivery
• Building site
• Event
• other necessary purpose

Sketch or site plan

A hand-drawn sketch is often sufficient, as long as the length and orientation are recognisable.

In the case of a Sondernutzung, a to-scale site plan is mandatory.

Vehicle details

If a specific parking space is to be reserved:

• Number plate
• permitted gross weight

Assumption of costs

Add a note that you are willing to cover the administrative fees.

For Sondernutzung

If the no-stopping zone is part of a building site or another Sondernutzung, the following may also be required:

• additional justification if the no-stopping zone is intended to be part of a building site
• to-scale site plan
• power of attorney if applicable, if you are not the developer yourself

If, for example, material containers or site huts are to be set up on public highway land, an additional Sondernutzungsantrag may also be required. Further fees may apply for this.

The no-stopping zone alone does not automatically authorise the additional use of the road space.
