No-Stopping Zone Apply

In Leipzig, you apply for a Halteverbot at the Road Traffic Authority (Straßenverkehrsbehörde) in the Transport and Civil Engineering Office (Verkehrs- und Tiefbauamt). Submit the application at least 14 days before the move. Email applications are often processed fastest.

The Road Traffic Authority in the Transport and Civil Engineering Office Leipzig is responsible for all temporary Halteverbote. You can submit the application in several ways.

1. By email to vta-umzuege@leipzig.de (recommended, often faster)
2. Online via the Saxon service portal
3. By fax to 0341/123-3485
4. By post

Tip: Email applications are often processed faster than post. There is no express processing.

Required Documents

For your application, you need the following information and documents:

• Name and address of the applicant
• Reason for the Halteverbot
• Location of the closure (street, house number)
• Area required (length in metres)
• Duration of the closure (date, times)
• Overview map or sketch
• Traffic sign plan

Important: Do not forget the traffic sign plan and the overview map. Without these documents, the application cannot be processed.

Processing Time

Submit the application at least 14 days before the desired date.

Important deadlines:

• Application: at least 14 days before the desired date
• Install signs: 3 full days before the zone begins

There is no express processing.
