Electric vehicle subsidy: check application and status
Check old applications, notices, portal status and documents. There is no open new-application path for a BAFA purchase grant.
5 steps to classify the case
-
Clarify the case
Separate a new electric-car purchase, old application, notice, authority question or ongoing ownership benefit. There is no open new-application path for a BAFA purchase grant.
Tip: If you do not have an old application or notice, start with GHG quota, vehicle tax, E-plate and charging infrastructure.
-
Check status or notice
Use the available confirmation of receipt, portal status, notice or authority question. Check which evidence the authority asks for in that existing case.
Tip: Save reference numbers, portal messages and deadlines separately from provider documents.
-
Gather documents
Prepare only the documents needed for your existing case or next EV route: notice, vehicle documents, portal message or evidence for an ownership benefit.
Tip: Use the documents page as a checklist and do not delete anything from an active authority account.
-
Choose the next step
If no running application exists, GHG quota, vehicle tax, E-plate, charging infrastructure and the provider route are the next useful paths.
Tip: Providers can help with comparison, but they are not official evidence for subsidy eligibility or tax notices.
-
Do not assume new amounts
Do not plan with a fixed new purchase grant unless you have a current official approval. Private provider values belong only to the provider route.
Tip: Check open questions in the FAQ and switch to GHG quota or vehicle tax for ownership topics.

This page is a status and documents guide. It is not evidence that new purchase-grant applications are open.
