Hunter's Examination Costs

The costs for the Hunter's Examination are a one-time expense:

• Examination fee: approx. 250 EUR
• Hunting course (voluntary): 1,500-3,000 EUR
• Shooting range fees: approx. 200-500 EUR (for practice)
• Study materials: approx. 50-150 EUR

Total cost for first-time issuance: approx. 2,000-4,000 EUR (with course) or approx. 500 EUR (without course, self-study)

Additional Costs

Firearms Possession Permit (WBK)

After passing the Hunter's Examination, you can acquire hunting firearms:

• WBK first-time issuance: approx. 50-100 EUR
• Registration of a firearm: approx. 20-30 EUR

Hunting Liability Insurance

Mandatory insurance for every hunter:

• Annual premium: approx. 50-80 EUR
• Minimum coverage: 500,000 EUR personal injury

Hunting Cooperative Contribution

If leasing a hunting district or membership:

• Annual contribution: variable, approx. 100-500 EUR

Payment Methods

You can pay the fees at the Firearms Authority by cash, debit card, or bank transfer. For online applications, payment is made by bank transfer after receiving the notice.
