For online applications, a personal service account is usually required.
PROVIDERS
Information for the application
The application should contain the following information:
- First and last name
- old and new address
- Telephone number
- Purpose of the no-stopping restriction: moving house
- Date of the move
- Start and end of the no-stopping restriction
- exact street and house number
- affected side of the street
- desired area and required length
- type of vehicle or vehicle length
- if applicable, a sketch of the desired zone
The length of the zone should be based on the length of the removal vehicle.
Deadline
Due to the high volume of work, the application should, if possible, at least two weeks before the moving date be submitted.
Signage
The no-stopping signs must be put up at least three full days before the moving date.
The signage may only be carried out by the responsible road authority, the municipal depot, a highways maintenance depot, or a suitable specialist company commissioned for the purpose. The specialist company must, on request, provide evidence of the required expertise.
Without proper and timely signage, the no-stopping restriction is not valid.
Documentation of the signs put up
When the signs are put up, the official registration numbers of all vehicles that are correctly parked in the zone at that time must be recorded in writing.
In addition, you should document:
- date and time the signs were put up
- exact location of the signs
- length and position of the zone
- photos of the signage and the area
The permit and the documentation should be available on the day of the move.
If the zone is still occupied
Vehicles must not be removed, blocked or damaged by yourself.
If vehicles are in the zone despite effective signage and are obstructing the move, contact the responsible Abschleppwesen. Keep the following documents to hand:
- traffic regulation order
- documentation of the vehicles already parked
- photos of the signage
Abschleppwesen der Stadt Stuttgart
If the three-day period was not complied with, any necessary towing measures may be attributed to the permit holder.
Fees
The administrative fee depends on the approval period and the scope of the permit. For house moves, it is usually around 30 to 100 €.
The costs for hire, putting up and collecting the signs by a specialist company are added on top.
Special cases
For containers, site fencing, scaffolding, building sites or any other use of public road space, an additional special permit may be required.
Traffic-law and road-law permits for works sites and building sites
If there is already an absolute no-stopping zone or in a pedestrian zone, further exemption permits may be required.
