State funding in Hesse

See also: Federal programmes. WIBank supplements KfW loans with its own state loans and grants. Submit the federal application first.

WIBank provides funding under the Hessisches Energiegesetz (HEG) as well as its own programmes such as the "Hessisches Programm zur Energieeffizienz im Mietwohnungsbau". These are primarily aimed at municipalities, companies and landlords of rental homes, not owner-occupiers of one- and two-family homes. For private renovators, BAFA and KfW remain the main route. Programme durations and conditions change regularly.

Can I combine WIBank and KfW funding?

Who investigates GEG violations in Hesse?

The districts and independent cities as lower building supervisory authorities. The nationwide GEG fine framework also applies here: up to 50.000 EUR.

Does Hesse offer its own grants for energy advice?

The state mainly funds refurbishment measures for municipalities, companies and landlords, not advice for owner-occupiers. For advice, use nationwide EBW funding through BAFA.
