State funding in Rhineland-Palatinate

For lower-income households, there is the ISB loan "Modernisierung selbst genutzter Wohnraum". It applies only if your household income exceeds the limit under Paragraph 13 LWoFG by no more than 60 per cent. The loan is up to 100.000 EUR for a four-person household, with 5.000 EUR added for each additional household member. The state reduces the interest rate by 1 percentage points, in extreme cases to as little as 0 per cent. Depending on income, there is an additional repayment grant of 5 to 15 per cent of the loan. For efficiency house standard 85 or 55, there are 5 additional percentage points.
For households above this income limit, BAFA and KfW (BEG) remain the main route.
