The interest rate is fixed at 1,0 % for the entire term, up to 30 Jahre. Up to 80 % of eligible costs are funded. A pellet stove with a water jacket is eligible. The loan can explicitly be combined with KfW programmes. Apply to SIKB before the measure begins.

Alternative to KfW funding: 20 % of costs deductible, max. 40.000 EUR per property, only for water-bearing systems.
Legal obligations
Landesbauordnung Saarland (LBO Saar)
Connecting a wood-burning stove to an existing suitable chimney is exempt from procedure under § 61 LBO Saar in conjunction with § 42 Abs. 6 LBO.
A notification requirement also applies: at least 10 Werktage before construction begins, you must submit the Anlage 5 form for combustion systems to the responsible district chimney sweep.
Depending on the design, the construction of a new chimney is exempt from approval. Larger projects require planning permission from the building regulations office of the district or the Stadtverband Saarbrücken.
