Sachsenkredit Klimafreundlicher Wohnen currently offers an interest-rate reduction of 0,8 %. The borrowing rate is set on the date of approval, the fixed-interest period is 10 Jahre, and the term is 10 to 35 Jahre. It applies to owner-occupied residential properties with up to 4 Wohneinheiten in Sachsen. A water-bearing pellet stove counts as an energy-efficient heating system and is eligible for funding. It can be combined with KfW and the SAB-Förderergänzungsdarlehen.
SAB Förderergänzungsdarlehen Wohnraumförderung is supplementary financing. The interest rate is set upon approval, the fixed-interest period is 3 to 15 Jahre (up to 20 Jahre when letting), the term is up to 35 Jahre, and repayment is at least 1 % p.a. Agree the terms directly with SAB.

Sächsische Bauordnung (SächsBO)
Connecting a wood-burning stove to an existing, suitable chimney does not require a procedure under § 61 SächsBO. Even combustion installations not requiring a procedure must be checked for operational and fire safety by the authorised district chimney sweep before being put into operation.
The construction of a new chimney also generally does not require a procedure if technical requirements are met. Clarify doubtful cases with the building control office of the district or independent city.
