Landesbauordnung Schleswig-Holstein (LBO SH)
Connecting a wood-burning stove to an existing, suitable chimney requires no procedure under § 61 LBO SH.
A notification requirement also applies: under § 68 Abs. 10 LBO SH, you must notify the responsible district chimney sweep of the installation or replacement of a fireplace at least 10 Tage before construction begins. For this, you need the form Anlage 5 and the calculation evidence under DIN 13384.
Construction of a new chimney likewise generally requires no procedure if the technical requirements are met. Clarify larger projects in advance with the building regulations office of the district or independent city.
