The TAB EigenheimPlus loan finances the purchase or modernisation of owner-occupied existing properties in Thuringia. New builds are excluded. Replacing a pellet stove counts as a modernisation measure.
The interest rate is set individually by the house bank according to creditworthiness. According to TAB, the loan can be combined with other public funding.

Alternative to KfW funding: 20 % of costs can be deducted, up to 40.000 EUR per property, only for water-bearing systems.

Connecting a wood-burning stove to an existing suitable chimney does not require a procedure under § 63 ThürBO. For a new chimney, clarify the requirements in advance with the building regulations office of the district or independent city.
