Overview

Balcony power systems are small plug-in photovoltaic systems. They are also known as plug-in solar devices or mini PV systems. In Lüdenscheid, there is no municipal funding, but an Energiespar-Prämie from Stadtwerke Lüdenscheid.

Funding in Lüdenscheid

Customers of Stadtwerke Lüdenscheid with an eligible green electricity tariff, such as Klima Fair Strom, can apply. Each year, customers can choose only one bonus from the Energiespar-Programm, for example for a balcony power system, a heat pump or an electric bicycle. Purchasing an additional balcony power system therefore excludes other bonuses in the same year.

State and federal funding

North Rhine-Westphalia had a state programme for solar installations called progres.nrw. The state has since discontinued this programme. Since January 2023, the zero VAT rate has applied nationwide to private photovoltaic systems. Tenants' rights

Under § 554 BGB, tenants are entitled to have a plug-in solar device installed. Landlords may not impose a blanket ban on installation. They may impose reasonable conditions, for example regarding the type of mounting.

Registration with the grid operator

The grid operator in Lüdenscheid is ENERVIE Vernetzt GmbH. Since Solarpaket I, separate registration with the grid operator is no longer required. The grid operator receives the information automatically through the Marktstammdatenregister.
